Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

The second movie in the series is by far the weakest of them all, for a large part of the first half of the movie very little happens whilst the action in the second half should be far darker and more sinister than the movie actually allows.

Due to the chronological nature of the Harry Potter series the concepts dealt with in the second movie are aimed at slightly older children than its predecessor, as the movie is set to progress as its audience ages. However the content of the movie, which implies violent deaths and genuinely creepy instances of a disembodied voice hissing threats that only Harry can hear are unjustly dealt with, watered down and skimmed over simply to pander to the young audience. It is too far a leap from the first film in which Harry and his friends do little more than solve puzzles to the threat of a huge snake and Voldermort’s dark magical powers.

Thankfully however the introduction of Voldermort as more than an impotent force makes the film a vital watch within the series, whilst the performances from the actors are still excellent. The improvement in the performances of two out of the three lead child actors is also very noticeable as Ron and Hermione become more believable and relatable with every line. Also worth noting is the CGI used to create the snake and the phoenix that take centre stage in the final battle of this piece, both of which are brilliantly done and create both terrifying and beautiful images respectively. This film is perfectly acceptable for a young audience who will doubtlessly be unaware of the potential darkness of the narrative, whilst adult viewers are likely to find it a little frustrating and frivolous.

I always watch the movies on Digitalfreedom. Here people can watch Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets movie online in a Blue Ray Print with H.D quality plus in Dolby Surrounds Sound. It’s an excellent promising website on the Internet world to watch movies online and watch movie trailers.
