Recently I have watched 50/50. I am glad to say that the movie is fantastic and truly marvelous.
The movie is comedy-drama film directed by Jonathan Levine, written by Will Reiser, and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen.
Inception star Joseph Gordon-Levitt has played the role of his lifetime. In my opinion, he was lucky to get the character for lead role of the movie and has done a great job with his excellent acting skills. May be Gordon will get his first academy award nomination next year.
When I first watched the trailer, I was not surprised or excited about the movie; probably I thought it’s not a worth movie to watch out. But I was wrong, when my friend forced me to watch out the movie in weekend. Now I thanked him for showing me such a beautiful movie after a long period of time.
Story of the movie is very heart touching as Adam is a 27 year old writer of radio programs and is diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer. With the help of his best friend, his mother, and a young therapist at the cancer center, Adam learns what and who the most important things in his life are.
I was little bit surprised when I heard that James McAvoy was cast as Adam, but had to drop out due to personal conflicts and director of the movie replaced him to Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
I searched lot of fun facts related to the movie but couldn’t found enough about the movie. How much I have searched, I am sharing with you all guys and girls:
The film was originally going to be called I'm with Cancer, before it was announced that this was a working title. The film was later renamed as live with it, and later, 50/50. James McAvoy was originally going to play the lead role before he left the film due to personal reasons and was replaced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film will be loosely based on the life of screenwriter Will Reiser. Filming occurred from 22 February 2010 to 31 March 2010.
